Hello ladies. I apologize for writing in English but I unfortunately can't speak Russian and can understand very little (I am from a Slavic country so our languages are a bit similar

). I hope you will have no problems understanding my post.
I am not really a fan of Майкл Прейд, I came across this forum by chance while googling some information on Джозефина Габриэль. I became curious why she was being mentioned on a Russian forum, and after going through the posts with the help of google translator, I saw you were all very curious about her, so I decided to post this because I am also a fan of many actors and am always happy to find some new information on them, so here is what I know about her:
I studied stage management in London and worked in different London theatres for almost 5 years. During that time, I worked on shows she was in twice. Most of this I learnt from other people I worked with who know her well.
She's been living with Майкл since 2008 but they didn't appear together in public until he was officially divorced in 2009. They met in 2007 when Майкл saw her in Chicago (the musical) where she played Roxie and liked her so much that he asked her out. After only two dates (!), they became a couple and started living together after a couple of months.
Джозефина was born on October 20, and she's just turned 50. She is a quite well known musical theatre performer in London, and I like her a lot. She is a trained ballet dancer, and is extremely beautiful and elegant in person. Also, she seems like a lovely person, very kind and polite and caring, everyone who has worked with her adores her. She's very intelligent and funny, but also shy and reserved. There is something melancholic about her, I don't know how to explain it.
She also seems to adore Майкл. I've been told that she was in a very long relationship with a much younger actor before, they were together for almost 10 years, when he left her for a younger woman because he wanted a family and his career never took off while Джозефина got a year long engagement on Broadway. She has never been married and has no children but has a sister, nephews and several half Jamaican step-siblings from her mother's marriage to a Jamaican. Her father was Spanish, but left the family and her mother, a school teacher (I met her once, also a lovely lady) raised the children alone, so she has never had much money (I think she lives very modestly even today, there is no much money in theatre even if you are a popular actor). After graduating from a ballet school, Джозефина moved to Portugal and danced classical ballet there for almost 10 years and then returned to England to try a career in musical theatre. I think that is why she won't tell her age because she started her acting career very late and probably lied about her age to get roles and it worked out.
I was googling her to see what show she will be in next, because she was excellent in this year's London production of Sondheim's musical Merrily We Roll Along, I think you can can even find some brief videos on YouTube.
Unfortunately, I have never met Майкл, but I saw him once in the audience at a show together with Джозефина and a teenage girl who was probably his daughter.

I think you needn't worry about your Майкл, it seems he has found someone who loves him very much.

I am not in London anymore, I returned to my home country but I am hoping to sort out my work visa again by next spring and go back, because I really like working in theatres there (even though, as I've said, it's not paid much). If you wish, I can ask some friends who still work there if they have any news on Майкл and what's he up to professionally. I really have no idea. You can also check Джозефина's twitter, I've noticed she often posts reviews and comments on his theatre and TV shows. If I hear something, I'll let you know, I'll bookmark this forum. smile

As for the girl I assumed was his daughter - it was 2 or 3 years ago, and I don't remember well, but I think she did look like him which is why I concluded she must be his daughter.
(I feel a bit bad about spreading gossip around internet, but since I don't have anything bad to say about anyone, I hope it's ok, laugh

I decided to post because I really liked your forum while going through the posts - you are such loyal fans, and I myself am a huge fan of several theatre and film actors, so I know how you feel. smile

I do remember seeing Robin Hood series and Dynasty as a young child but otherwise, I am not really familiar with Майкл's work. I did see the taping of the musical about F.Scott Fitzgerald he was in some years ago, and liked it a lot.
London theatres feel the economic crisis, producers are reluctant to stage new musicals because it's too risky (they are extremely expensive), so they stage either American shows that have already proved successful on Broadway and cast only the biggest names, or small-scale shows for a handful of actors. So, it must be very difficult for actors to get roles in West End, which is probably the reason you haven't seen Майкл in a while. Actors have to accept whatever they can get - I just found Джозефина is doing a children show at the moment. But usually, a bunch of new shows and tours start around (British) Christmas and in the spring, so be patient. Forums like http://www.broadwayworld.com/westend/board/ and http://forum.whatsonstage.com/ usually have the earliest and most accurate rumours about new shows and castings.

Большинство из нас впервые увидели Майкла в роли Робин Гуда, и только намного позже узнали, что он - прекрасный актёр мюзиклов. Несколько лет назад слышали, что он хотел поставить собственный мюзикл "Dreamlаnd". Надеемся, что перерыв в работе Майкла Прейда будет не очень долгим smile
